Lake Gaston is an exceptionally beautiful and clean lake! It has over 20,000 acres of "high quality" water, is 34 miles long, and has over 350 miles of shoreline. The normal water level is 200 feet above sea level. The water level varies about twelve inches from the normal level except in emergencies. This eliminates the need for floating docks.

Lake Gaston is approximately 1.5-2 hours from nationally recognized tertiary care at Duke University Health System in Durham, NC, University of North Carolina Hospitals in Chapel Hill, NC, and Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center in Richmond, VA.
